The Prosecution is made up of Count Counsel, one for each count in the indictment, who build the case against the defendants. Each Count Counsel constructs a legal argument using the IRAC method (Issue, Rule, Application, Conclusion), applying the relevant legal rule to the facts of their assigned count across five weeks of submissions, from the opening statement through the closing argument. Prosecution Count Counsel carry an additional responsibility: proving not just that a crime occurred, but that each defendant is individually criminally responsible for it under a specific mode of liability.
